I. AUTOMATONS —– — -

Les automatons, pourrait-on dire, sont les premiers “robots” et “ordinateurs mécaniques” fabriqués la plupart du temps à partir de bois, de pièces métaliques ainsi que d'engrenages et mécanismes se rapportant à ceux des horloges. Les automatons présentés ci-dessous ont été inventés dès le XVIe siècle environ et certains étaient programmables pour exécuter plus d'une action.

II. ROBOTS —– — -

De nos jours, le terme robot, provenant du mot tchèque “robota” signifiant travail forcé, a été abordé dans de nombreux films de science-fiction, où l'on peut se faire de nombreux points de vue sur le sujet. Ci-dessous, on peut voir différents robots et types de robot développés à travers le monde et comment ils peuvent s'introduire dans notre société de tous les jours, en passant par les robots industriels jusqu'aux robots de compgnie actuellement en vente sur le marché, parfois ressemblant à des enfants, d'autrefois humanoïdes.
